
Congratulations to Chastin Cayou for being Omaha Nation's lifter of the week. Chastin has put a lot of time in the weight room and has increased his bench by 70 pounds this year.

Congratulations to our LADY CHIEFS on defeating Takini 75 - 14 in the second round of D.O.C. Also, special shout out to Sylvia Valentino who has made it to the finals of the free throw contest. GO CHIEFS!!!

Our elementary Culture Keeper awards were passed off this morning. Mrs. Collins chose Mrs. Gorman for her love of our students. She also spoke about how helpful Mrs. Gorman is with helping students understand new ways of doing something. Mrs. Pippitt chose Linda Calvillo for all of the help she provides as a school nurse. Linda not only helps the students, but she always looks after the staff as well. These two winners make our school great!

Congratulations to the school representatives for the Thurston County Spelling Bee. The bee will be held at Winnebago Public School on February 12th at 10:00 am. 5th Grade - Bella Sherman, Keeh Guinyard, Nathaniel Grant. 6th Grade - Javianna Chavez, Kandyce Saunsoci, Cici Webster. 7th Grade - Davia Oftedal, Trinity Robinson, Emerson Saul. 8th Grade -Darius Red Buffalo, Jaya Ross, Aundres McCauley.

Ms.Nichols' class conducted research on a person from History. The students each wrote a biography about their chosen person and then created a comic strip about that person's life. These were sent to a book publisher who published History Comic by Ms. Nichols 5th Grade Class.





The 5th graders were given the opportunity to attend the Omaha Symphony's presentation of "Music and Math". It was a learning experience and it was enjoyed by all students.



Today's home games against Flandreau will begin with both JV games at 1:30 and varsity to follow.

It's game day for your beloved Chiefs and Lady Chiefs. JV action starts at 4:45 with Varsity at 6:00. Come out and get loud as they battle the Homer Knights.


Tomorrows basketball game with Cornerstone Christian has been change to a HOME game. We will start JV at 5:00 with varsity to follow.
