Sixth Grade Reading students finished the novel Touching Spirit Bear and created projects to reflect the symbols, characters, and action scenes in the book. Seventh grade students wrote shape, or concrete, poems about topics of their choice. The themes ranged from family, to pets, to sports and hobbies. They are doing a wonderful job using art and poetry to reflect on their learning.

Omaha Nation was filled with cameras all over on Thursday as I love public schools came to work with our students and take highlight shots of the great things going on at Omaha Nation. They also shared a meal with the parents of the students who are working to create a documentary about our school. https://northeast.newschannelnebraska.com/story/41450490/documentary-crew-passes-on-skills-storytelling-lessons-to-omaha-nation-students
