Today, Mr. Pickinpaugh was sworn-in to serve as the Secondary School Principal on the National Assessment Governing Board in Washington DC. The board consists of governors, senators, CEOs, and educators from different levels. There are only 26 people chosen in the US to serve on the board. The National Assessment Governing Board is charged by Congress to inform the public about what America's students know and can do in various subject areas. This information helps our nation understand where more work is needed to improve students' education.

On Thursday, November 1 7 our 10th grade students will take the Pre-ACT assessment. This assessment will provide the students with information regarding their progress towards proficiency on the ACT test that they will take as an 11th grade student. The test on Thursday will begin at 9:30am, so please make sure your student is on time for school that day. We look forward to the results and will share them with students, staff, and families once received. If you have any questions, please call the school and ask for Mr. Wanning. Thank you, everyone!

We have received an update from Fastwyre Broadband that there is an ongoing outage affecting Macy and some other areas. They do not have an estimate of when the problem will be resolved. Please email our dedicated front office staff Robin rdavis@unpsk-12.org or Justine jsheridan@unpsk-12.org with any immediate requests until the phone system can be resolved. One of those staff members will respond to your email to ensure it has been taken care of. Thank you.

We were just made aware that calls being placed to the school are going to a busy signal. Outgoing calls from the building still work. We're investigating the issue and trying to reach out to the service provider, but are receiving errors trying to reach them which may indicate an interruption on their end. Will update with further information
