ATTENTION FOOTBALL PLAYERS AND PARENTS
Camp went very well and the coaches are excited to get the season started. Practice can officially start August 12th, and we will either start the 12th or the 13th (stay tuned on that, it will be announced). Before we start, ALL players need to get a physical, and they need a parent/guardian present for it! Do this NOW, so it is taken care of before the day we start practice. Please, please, PLEASE - GET YOUR PHYSICALS!!!!!
Secondly - Starting next Monday, July 29th, we will be having Team Conditioning Monday-Wednesday-Friday until August 9th. Conditioning will start at 7 p.m. in the evening and last between a half hour to an hour. We need everyone there in order to be prepared for preseason practice. SHOW UP!
Finally, parents and community members - push these boys. Encourage them to get to conditioning and to go out for football. We were missing about 12-15 boys at camp still. They are needed and a valuable part of the team, program, our plans as coaches, and could ALL be great players.

Congratulations to our elementary student Alexis Bertucci and her billboard located by the library in Norfolk. Alexis was the Call 811 contest winner last year.

That's a wrap! Chiefs Football Camp finished up Friday night. It ended just as hot as it started! But, that is July in Nebraska and that is football. These young men got a taste of what the football teams across the state fight through to compete at a championship level. The coaches are extremely proud of those who showed up, put in the work, fought the heat and outside distractions, and got better for their school and community. We may have found a captain or two.
Times are changing. The program is changing. These gentlemen were pushed and they didn't quit. They earned those shirts and, hopefully, your respect and support for the upcoming season. Next up, conditioning, and practice starts the second week of August. Stay tuned.
Rep the Tribe! Go Chiefs!

Little Chiefs Camp wrapped up yesterday with a thrilling sudden death, overtime win by the red squad! The boys and coaches had a great week of camp and they all EARNED those camp t-shirts! A big thank you to assistant coaches, Jermaine Guinyard, Mike Sjuts, Delshay Webster, and volunteer coach, and current Peru State starting offensive lineman, Mark Zepeda. With their help, the boys not only learned valuable offensive and defensive skills, but also had a lot of fun.
Thank you to the campers and their parents/guardians, it was a great week! Hope to see you all supporting your Chiefs this coming football season!

Attention all football parents/players!
Little Chiefs camp ends today and high schoolers are hitting the halfway point of their camp. A couple things coaches would like to remind you all of:
- Varsity camp starts at 5:30 (boys will be on the field by 5:15) and end around 7:30 the next 3 days.
- Weights tomorrow and Friday will start at 3:30 for football players and 4:00 on Thursday.
- We can NOT stress enough to get your boys drinking water at all times! It is hot. Summer in July, in Nebraska, is VERY hot. If our athletes aren't drinking water, they will be dehydrated and get sick, no matter how hot it is or what they are doing.
- Trust us. We are going to take care of these young men. We are ending earlier, taking longer water breaks, taking breaks in the shade, etc. They are doing an amazing job! Be proud of them, we coaches ALL are.
As always, Rep the Tribe and help us get these young MEN to finish strong!
