
High school student council will be selling student athlete buttons. The buttons will have athletes in volleyball, football, cross country, and cheerleading. Buttons are $5. If interested, please contact Ms. Long, Ms. Fada, or stop in the office and order one from Mrs.Davis!

Tonight's JV volleyball game will be in Bancroft starting at 6:30 pm with varsity to follow. Come support our Lady Chiefs!

This morning, the elementary faculty nominated Ms. Compton (Kindergarten), with the September "Culture Keeper" award. This award recognizes colleagues for their dedication to our our collective commitments as a staff. Congratulations Ms. Compton! We are grateful for your work!


On Friday, September 27th, the elementary held its first Citizenship Assembly. Thank you to all of the parents/guardians that attended to support our students. It was a wonderful event highlighted by the introduction of our student council and principal award winners.

Mrs. Lovejoy hosted a reading social today. Students who attended the social received a free snow cone. The students had a great time reading. Thank you Mrs Lovejoy, we appreciate you taking your personal time to help our students become more successful.




This year we are starting a Lego League team for our upper elementary students. Our goal is to expand this into Middle School next year and build competitive teams at the state, regional, and national levels. See the fliers attached and contact Mr. Renfro if you are interested.

We had a great community night this week, filled with lots of fun and games. On Wednesday night we served 324 dinners to students and families. Thank you to the social/climate committee at UNPS for a great night!

Community Night kicks off in less than an hour! 4PM on the UNPS Playground with supper served at 5PM.


Friday Football Team Feed!
This Friday, September 20, 2019 at 6:30 p.m., the Omaha Nation Chiefs Football Coaching Staff will be providing and serving a meal for members of the team and their parents/guardians. This will be hosted in the school cafeteria immediately after practice. Come enjoy some spaghetti and garlic bread from Coach Hudnall, Coach Guinyard, Coach Sjuts and Coach Fluellen!

Mrs. Lovejoy's 4th grade class is geared up for MAPS TESTING AND AIMS WEB! Their theme is Donut Stress! Take your time and do your best! They will celebrate with some homemade donuts and donut decorating upon completion.


Tuesday, we set a record in the Band room: Twenty 5th grade beginner Band students at the same time! We've never had that many beginners in the room at one time. Altogether yesterday, with the two fifth grade classes, we had 38 Beginners! If they all hang in we'll have the biggest Elementary Band ever!

Thank you to Mr. Ariza, and Mrs. Schoenfelder for taking students who were interested in attending a career day at Northeast Community College. Students were able to participate in hands-on activities and learn about career paths in Health Science.

Students in Mr. Spawn's class are learning all about engines as well as how to properly maintain your car. The staff have enjoyed having the students change their oil, and make sure everything is in working order.




Did you know....
Poor attendance can influence a child's ability to read proficiently by the end of 3rd grade? This is an important benchmark that can determine whether the student continues on to 4th grade or is held back.

Congratulations to Sakoy Webster for medaling in cross country once again. Sakoy placed 8th out of 90 runners. Also, a big shout out to the whole cross country team for running well and on improving your times. GO CHIEFS!!!
