The first home volleyball match of the season will be tonight for the Middle School, JV and Varsity. Middle School will start at 3:00 against Winnebago, JV and Varsity to follow against Santee. We can't spell Umóⁿhoⁿ Nation without U so let's pack the stands tonight and show pride in our Lady Chiefs.
Covid Protocols for volleyball matches at Umóⁿhoⁿ Nation in 2021
*All fans must wear masks covering mouth and nose at all times
*All fans should check their temperature at home
*Anyone with a fever over 100 should remain home
*Anyone showing signs or symptoms of Covid should remain home
*Social distancing encouraged
*Home fans will sit on the North bleachers
*Visiting fans will sit on the South bleachers
*Players will be allowed to remove masks while the match is ongoing
*Teams will not switch benches during the match
*Officials are encouraged to wear masks while officiating
*Gate will be $5 for adults and $4 for students
Tomorrow (Thurs., 9-9-2021), the Umóⁿhoⁿ Nation Public School district will host the Annual Fall Hearing Ability Screenings for ALL school-age students. This is a service provided to our students through the Educational Service Unit #1 (Wakefield, NE).
The Lady Chiefs will have a JV/Varsity volleyball match at Omaha Christian today. They do not have any Covid restrictions. Cost is $5.00 and $4.00. JV to play at 5:00 and Varsity to follow.
Today the Middle School football team will play at home against Winnebago at 4:00. The JV will play immediately following. Due to the outdoor location masks and social distancing are not required but strongly encouraged.

The cross country meet today in Beemer has been cancelled due to inclement weather. No make up date has been announced.
Due to lack of participation in Marty the varsity football game for this Thursday will be postponed to September 14th at 1:00 in Macy. This will be changed to a home game.
Three times a year, the reading and math skills of our elementary students are checked to make sure students are making progress. Your child will be assessed during the week of August 30-September 3rd. Please see the attached image for more details.
Kindergarten and first grade practiced using the right amounts of glue in art this week by making rainbows with fruit loops.
This afternoon's football game vs Lower Brule will be livestreamed to https://striv.tv/channel/unchiefs/ starting at 2pm. Due to weather and connectivity at the host facility, the connection may be spotty so we apologize in advance for any issues. Unless there are issues with the backup recording, we will have a playback of the game uploaded by Monday.
There will be no school for students on Monday 8-30-21 due to a funeral ceremony. Staff will report to work.

UNPS Open House is tonight from 4 to 6:30. Meet and greet with teachers, registration, and a cookout at 5:30. 4-4:30 Freshman Parent Meeting. 5-5:30 Mandatory Fall Athletics Parent Meeting.
Fall practices are in full swing and parent meetings will be held tomorrow in the new gym at 5:00. The meeting is mandatory for parents of students in volleyball, football or cross country.
