High school and middle school teachers collaborating to help our students be more successful.

Mrs. Lovejoy hosted a reading social today. Students who attended the social received a free snow cone. The students had a great time reading. Thank you Mrs Lovejoy, we appreciate you taking your personal time to help our students become more successful.

This year we are starting a Lego League team for our upper elementary students. Our goal is to expand this into Middle School next year and build competitive teams at the state, regional, and national levels. See the fliers attached and contact Mr. Renfro if you are interested.

"Football Family, Parents, and Guardians,
If you are a parent/guardian of an Umoⁿhoⁿ Nation Chiefs football player, please join us tonight at 6:30 p.m. for spaghetti and garlic bread, served and provided by the coaching staff. We would love to see you come and support OUR Chiefs and share a meal with our team. Day by day, we grow together, support each other, and strengthen our community. As always, thank you ALL for the support! Your boys are working hard to make you all proud, each and every day."

Mrs. Lovejoy's 4th grade class is geared up for MAPS TESTING AND AIMS WEB! Their theme is Donut Stress! Take your time and do your best! They will celebrate with some homemade donuts and donut decorating upon completion.

Tuesday, we set a record in the Band room: Twenty 5th grade beginner Band students at the same time! We've never had that many beginners in the room at one time. Altogether yesterday, with the two fifth grade classes, we had 38 Beginners! If they all hang in we'll have the biggest Elementary Band ever!

Thank you to Mr. Ariza, and Mrs. Schoenfelder for taking students who were interested in attending a career day at Northeast Community College. Students were able to participate in hands-on activities and learn about career paths in Health Science.

Students in Mr. Spawn's class are learning all about engines as well as how to properly maintain your car. The staff have enjoyed having the students change their oil, and make sure everything is in working order.

Did you know....
Poor attendance can influence a child's ability to read proficiently by the end of 3rd grade? This is an important benchmark that can determine whether the student continues on to 4th grade or is held back.

Community Night Wednesday September 18th! Starts at 4pm with supper served at 5pm!
