Congratulations are extended to the infant and toddler rooms at Shinga Zhinga Child
Development Center. Each classroom was evaluated from the UNMC Munroe-Meyer Institute’s
Interdisciplinary Center for Program Evaluation recently using the Classroom Assessment
Scoring System (CLASS). This is an observational rating tool used to assess teaching and
learning interactions. It includes two domains: Emotional Behavior Support and Engaged
Support for Learning. Each classroom did an outstanding job. The teaching staff in the infant
room scored 6.31 out a possible 7.00 and the toddler room scored 6.20 out of a possible 7.0. We appreciate their hard work and support of our young children.
