Starting on Monday, September 9, students in grades 6-11 will begin the MAP assessment in the subject areas of Math, Reading, Language Usage, and Science (4-5, and 7-8).  This is a local assessment that allows teachers and students to analyze progress through a measure-based outcome.  The MAP assessment is not timed, which allows students to focus solely on the assessment.

Starting on Monday, September 9, students in grades K-5 will begin the Aims Web Plus Assessment in Reading in Math.  These short assessments, administered by a team of proctors, will allow teachers to have information on how to best support our students.  We look forward to seeing the progress from the spring of last year.  Students in K-5 will also begin the MAP assessment in the subject areas of Math, Reading, Language Usage, and Science (4-5) during the week of September 16th.

The Every Student Succeeds Act requires school districts receiving Title 1 funds shall notify parents that they may request, information regarding any state or local policy addressing student participation in assessments mandated by state or federal law.

Please let your building principal know if you would like more information about these assessments or any information on the opt-out letter.
