Umoⁿhoⁿ Nation Improving Tomorrow for Everyone Grant

UNITE Grant

A portion of the UNPS Against the Current Career Academy is funded through the Office of Indian Education Demonstration Grants for Indian Children Accessing Choices in Education (ACE).  ACE is about empowering the choice of Native families to choose desired educational services.  This project represents a promise to our Indian children, that they deserve high quality educational options.  In the fall of 2020, UNPS was awarded the Umoⁿhoⁿ Nation Improving Tomorrow for Everyone (UNITE) grant to assist with funding of this exciting project.  This 5-year grant helped considerably with the start –up costs during the planning period and will continue to offer direct pupil support for the following four years. The UNPS Against the Current Career Academy is designed to offer six distinct vocational pathways allowing students and families to choose and explore a variety of vocational, academic and career options, which aligns explicitly with the goals of this project.  A Parent/Community Advisory Board has been established to offer guidance and feedback to this project and all financial, educational, and vocational goal will be transparent through the Parent Portal and District Website.  If you have any questions regarding this grant, please feel free to contact the Project Director, Mrs. Kari Bappe at 402-837-5622 ext. 3417.
