Recently our entire 5th grade class was visited by Daniel Martinez. Daniel is a musician and artist who is currently working with the Lied's Center in Lincoln. Daniel is originally from Peru and has traveled the world learning the unique styles of music from many different cultures. He showed our students many of these styles and techniques he has learned. Then he brought our students back to the classroom to complete a class project of making drums and rainsticks. He will be on May 11th so we can put on our classroom concert. The students were very engaged and truly seemed to enjoy themselves during the presentation.
